Shinagawa Clam Bento(Lunch Box)

This time I also introduce "Lunch Box", please see the following picture.
I bought it at Shinagawa station and the name of it is "Kai-Dukushi".

"Kai=貝" means "shell" and ”Dukushi=づくし" does, a bit of difficult to explain but "all kinds of".

Clam, asari clam, basket clam, the adductor muscle are on the rice and the taste is, off course, Japanese one.

Asakusa Imahan Sukiyaki Lunch Box

This time I also introduce lunch box.
I often use Shinkansen and have lunch box.

The following is the picture of Asakusa Imahan lunch box.
"Imahan" is the name of restaurant in Asakusa and in Kanji "Ima=今=now" and "Han=半=half".

According to Imahan's homepage, this restaurant was established in 1895(28th in Meiji period) and has so long history.

The taste of lunch box is good !

Fukagawa Meshi(Rice) in Shinkansen

When I went to Osaka on business, I took Shinkan-sen and bought lunch box, named "Fukagawa Meshi".

"Fukagawa" is the place name and "Meshi" means "rice" in English, the same as "Gohan" in Japanese.

It is said that much marine products were landed at Fukagawa in Edo period and the name of lunch box has roots in that.

What on the rice are boiled-conger, goby, asari clam and seasoning is a bit of sweet.(But it is different from "sweet" of ”sweets" such as chocolate, manjyu(in Japanese).

Shibuya Scramble Crossing

I heard that the scramble crossing at Shibuya is famous and popular to the foreign traveler to Japan and take pictures when they come.

They say that it is amazing why the people crossing never hit each other.

Living in Japan, we think it as usual but I can understand what the foreigner is considering.

I just found this crossing live movie in youtube and introduce it although it has nothing to do with hotel. 

As it is "live movie" as I mentioned, it is better you see when it is crowded (about from 9:00 to 20:00) (Japan time zone is GMT+9)

Beef Tongue Lunch Box in Shinkansen

When I visited to Osaka, I took Shinkansen.
As it was almost just noon, I bought Lunch Box of beef tongue.

Beef tongue is very popular in Japan, especially for "Yaki-Niku".
Different from other meat such as roast, diaphragm, sparerib, beef tongue is bit of to hard to chew and I think it is so delirious.

[Introducing Hotel] Vol048 Taiwan Taipei Deja Vu Hotel

I went to Taiwan/Taipei on business last week and stayed at "Deja Vu Hotel" in Taipei.
In Vol.048, I would like to introduce this hotel.

This hotel is near Zhongxiao Fuxing station of Wenhu line(MRT) and it takes a few mins on foot.
The department store(SOGO) is just on Zhongxiao Fuxing station and there are many restaurants and shops, such as Taiwanese food, Hong Kong food, Cafe, Massage etc.
On the other side of entrance, there is a park named "大安公園" and also local convenience-store (Hi-life). I think it is so so convenient.

The staff of this hotel is friendly and the room is good.
There is a restaurant on B1F and we can take breakfast there.

As for the room charge, it was about US$70/day when I made a reservation in Ctrip (http://jp.ctrip.com/).

*) I checked several web-sites of hotel-reservation such as Agoda, Tripadviser etc. and found Ctrip offered the cheapest price.
I was worrying that we could make a reservation because it was the first time to use Ctrip but got it.

I recommended to stay at this hotel when you come to Taipei !

[Introducing Hotel] Vol047 Japan Osaka prefecture, Osaka city, Nishitetsu-Inn Shinsai-Bashi

In Vol.047, I would like to introduce Nishitetsu-Inn Shinsai-Bashi in Osaka city(South area, Namba), Osaka prefecture.
It will take around 10 mins from Shinsai-Bashi station(subway).
As "America Mura(village)" is near from this hotel, it is convenient to find some restaurant and others for lunch, dinner, shopping.

Kushikatsu shop(Tanaka) I introduced before is also near this hotel and it will take 1-2 mins on foot.(almost in front of it)
Staying at this hotel, you can enjoy "Kushikatsu".

[Introducing Hotel] Vol046 Japan Osaka prefecture, Osaka city, New Hankyu Hotel Annex

In Vol.045, I have already introduced "New Hankyu Hotel" in Osaka city but this time introduce "New Hankyu Hotel Annex".
It is located near "New Hankyu Hotel" and it took around 5mins on foot.
Main entrance is close to main street but another one is to face shopping street.
As you can easily find restaurants and other shop, it is so convenient for lunch, dinner.
