There are many slopes in Tokyo and it's said over 700 slopes.
I would like to introduce one of them, "Sode-Suri Slope" in Shinjyuku-Ku, Tokyo.
( Sode(袖) means sleeve and Suri(摺) means rubbing)
The origin of this slope's name is that people who came and went to this slope rubbed their sleeve each other because the width of slope was so narrow, long time ago. (Maybe Edo-period)
I think it is interesting to investigate the origin of the name of slope.
When I have a chance, I will introduce.
